Holi is a festival of colors or festival of love. It has been widely celebrated India and Nepal and also in Indian community around the world. So, i really never celebrated Holi when i was in India, because i didn't have any norther Indian friends or didn't had that much likeness to celebrate on myself. But it's not India now.
The place where i lived is the home to Indiana University, which is one of the biggest University in United States. This University seems accidentally had a very large number of International students mostly from India.. So, the India students have planned to celebrate the Holi at their campus..which is not only open to Indians but to everyone.. Thanks to my local Coordinator Ms.Cathy who have found about this event and e-mailed as(all the exchange students placed in Bloomington and around Bloomington) the details and asked us who are all willing to participate..... how could i miss it.? so i said yes... and i also told my dad(Lynn) about this.
After that, i forget all about it. It's spring season and i was in the Track at Edgewood. So, after school practice, went as normal as always. Dad used to pick me up most of time after practice and came today too. I got in the car and want to eat some curly fires and he goes like 'Didn't you some festival celebrations at the University with your friends and cathy..?' Then i am like 'how could i miss that..'
so, my dad pulled up the e-mail and it said it only starts after 5.00p.m.Then he took me that place and dropped me there. and guess what costume i was in..track shorts and a t-shirt.. there wasn't a costume rule...and no one saw me weird..i waited for other my friends to come..
Niklas Everling and Khaled came with Cathy and she left us there.. to do some of here work.. so, we didn't wait for too long..we ridtered our names and got the colors and the fun starts...
I really enjoyed it...and even some american students also enjoyed it...
